LB Veggie Move is a web app that is part of the pilot project of the Municipal Government of Los Baños (MGLB) through the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMA),  Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research (DOST- PCAARRD), and University of the Philippines- Los Baños entitled “Development of Inclusive and Resilient S&T-based Vegetable Supply Chains for the New Normal”.

We work directly with the Los Baños farmers to bring you pesticide-free and ICS- grown fresh vegetables. Pesticide-free vegetables are vegetables that were not applied with any synthetic pesticides or any synthetic fertilizers. Internal Control System or ICS-grown vegetables are vegetables that were applied with synthetic pesticides and/ or synthetic fertilizers following the recommended amount and frequency of usage where farmers have undergone proper training in food safety and Internal Control System. Aside from these, the farms and consolidation areas are being monitored to observe compliance to COVID-19 health protocols throughout the production of vegetables up to the delivery to the clients. As such, you can be assured of a safe and nutritious vegetable for your family.

You can order your vegetables from Wednesday to Monday and get them delivered to your doorstep on Tuesdays.

Pesticide-Free

Farmers who are practicing pesticide-free vegetable production are situated mostly in Barangay Bagong Silang and Timugan, Los Baños, Laguna. These farmers are producing their crops by means of alternative practices relative to conventional farming. Practices such as ecologically based pest control and the use of biologically derived fertilizers from animals and plant wastes are the primary bases of this particular farming system.

Internal Control System

Farmers who are practicing Internal Control System (ICS)-based vegetable production are situated in Barangay Bayog, Maahas, Malinta, Timugan, and Tadlac, Los Baños, Laguna. These farmers are producing their crops in conventional ways. The use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers is being practiced by our farmers but within the bounds of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) set by the Philippine National Standard.
